Privacy Policy

Brixwise respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address, display name, and password (hashed — we never see it).
- Deal data: the numbers and notes you enter into the calculators when you save a deal.
- Usage data: basic analytics (pages viewed, browser type) to improve the product.
2. Why we use it
- To run your account and let you save / compare deals (contractual necessity).
- To send you essential service emails (signup, password reset).
- To improve Brixwise and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your data and we do not use deal figures for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We use trusted infrastructure providers to host the app and database. Your data may be processed in the EU/UK. We never share your individual deal figures with third parties.
4. How long we keep it
Account and deal data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal reasons (e.g. tax invoices for 6 years).
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your data, and to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Email privacy@brixwise.com to exercise any of these.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed, data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We screen new passwords against the Have I Been Pwned database to block known-leaked credentials.
